Every day, federal judges make decisions that, for better or for worse, become part of the American fabric. These decisions on important issues such as education, the environment, and privacy enter our homes and become part of our lives—whether we like them or not. Please join us in making sure that these judges, appointed by the President and confirmed by our Senators, keep faith with core constitutional values.
1. Limited time when employers can be sued for past discrimination. 2. Affirmed that the constitutional right to privacy includes abortion. 3. Lifted limits on corporate funding of campaign ads. 4. Ended the 2000 presidential election recount in Florida. 5. Struck down laws banning homosexual couples from having sex. 6. Upheld the segregationist policy of "separate but equal." 7. Ended all laws banning inter-racial marriages. 8. Ruled many municipal and state gun laws unconstitutional 9. Limited punitive damages paid to victims of the 1889 Valdez oil spill. 10. Ruled that law enforcement must advise arrested suspects of their rights. 11. Declared school segregation unconstitutional.
