SECOND CENTURY FUND – FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION

Generations of women have volunteered their time and financial resources to ensure the health and financial viability of the Miami Section. We read in the Talmud, “As my father planted for me, so I plant for my children.”

It is our turn to plant for our children and future generations. As we sow, so shall we reap. The creation of the NCJW Second Century Fund is a major initiative to enable NCJW Miami to carry out its mission more effectively through an endowment. The Fund provides permanent, additional funding required to enhance NCJW’s existing programs, launch new initiatives, and be responsive to newly identified community needs.

The Second Century Council was established to recognize individuals who have created gifts to the NCJW Greater Miami Section through their estate planning. By making a gift in this way, members demonstrate their long-term commitment to the mission of NCJW.

Gifts to the Second Century Fund are endowment gifts that enable the Greater Miami Section to plan for the long-term — the advocacy, programs, service, outreach, and general operations that work to achieve and protect women and children’s rights in our community.

Gifts to the NCJW Second Century Fund provide an opportunity to “plant” for the future. The donor may establish a permanent endowment in his or her name, as a memorial, or in recognition of another individual. Individuals may become members of the Second Century Council by designating a bequest or an estate gift, or by making a current contribution of cash, stock, or other eligible assets in an amount not less than $5,000.
